Mission

The need for organic supply chains increases as consumption grows.

DID-IT wants to stimulate organic supply by kickstart, support and funding of projects to cultivate and produce with diversity for more high-quality organic agricultural products.

Jersey steers

The Jersey is a small stubborn cow that gives extra full and tasty milk with more fat and protein than other dairy cows. Due to the somewhat frail build of these animals, the (bull) calves of Jersey dairy cows have a lower birth weight and little predisposition to put on (a lot of) meat.

This makes them not interesting for the meat calf trade. "That's a shame, because we believe that bull calves should absolutely not be a waste product. In order to give milk, a cow must give birth to a calf once a year, and so it is inevitable that bull calves will also be born. Fifty percent of calves born are bull calves. "

Project

Alleb’ei’ en Geluksvogel

Geluksvogel has been selling organic eggs from hens living in a mobile cart since 2018. Each week they walk on a fresh patch of grass and in addition to each hen, there is also a rooster. The hens and roosters are raised in organic fields and fed organic grass, herbs and feed. Natural food stores now carry eggs and chicken meat from fast-growing breeds, though they are given more time to grow under better conditions. The roosters, continue to live, but are not suitable for meat. DID-IT is going back to an original breed whose rooster is suitable for meat and the hen for eggs. We now have a dual purpose super healthy chicken breed in the moveable carts and are proud of these chickens under the name Alleb'ei'.

Hart voor Aarde

At the end of 2022, the organic store/online store HART voor AARDE was established in the De Braamstruik farm on the Voorthuizerweg in Nijkerk. The old grub shed that connects to the DID-IT reception area and offices was converted into an organic store and web store owned by Martin and Rolanda van den Heuvel. Martin and Rolanda have been a family since the late nineties and their daughter is happy to contribute to the initiative, including publicity for Hart voor aarde.

Symfonio

It Symfonio Project supplies organic fonio from Burkina Faso and the Sahel region. The purpose of SYMFONIO is to provide farmers with sufficient income for their own use and a surplus for export, by producing nutritious crops.

The cultivation of fonio combats desertification and erosion and can even deserts fertile again make.

Bee populations

Poppe Braam and Gerard van de Braak from De Valksche Hof have been working together for many years. Together they placed the first bee colonies on the industrial area of the Harselaar Barneveld. At the time a complete novelty. After the purchase of the office farm in Voorthuizen, a few hives were placed on the grounds of DIT-IT in early 2021. 5 colonies were placed, which could immediately take care of the pollination of the fruit blossoms. They also pollinated the sown buckwheat.

Biorganica

In 2007, a group of small organic soy farmers started BIORGANICA to grow organic products in the state of Parana in Brazil, for local use and export. It is FairTrade IBD certified to meet social, environmental and economic needs and to connect farmers and producers. The most important export crops include soya, cassava and sugar. The farmers and producers are supported with organic and technical advice and with help in exporting their products. For the local market, the development of organic consumer products is supported.

CEO

Poppe Braam

Born and raised in Friesland, Poppe was already involved in organic farming and food during his student days in Groningen and was the first to start a certified organic chicken farm.

At the same time he set his sights on the world outside and came into contact with international organic companies. After the necessary experience he started DO-IT an international trading company in organic raw materials and consumer products based in Barneveld. The company is now one of the largest organic companies in the Netherlands. After more than 30 years of dedicated leadership of DO-IT, Poppe passed the baton at the end of 2020 to 2 entrepreneurs with a passion for organic agriculture and food.

Poppe cannot sit still, so his work continues with the many challenges and questions in the sector of organic agriculture and food. DID-IT B.V. is the base for the resulting activities. Poppe and his team will be able to continue to contribute to the import and transition of a sustainable, organic agriculture and food sector in the Netherlands and other countries. The European Green Deal also poses major challenges for the production and marketing of organic food.

Biobeurs 2026 - ALLEBEI and the Buckwheat Cooperative

On April 15 and 16, the BIOBEURS 2026 took place at the OmniSport sports complex in Apeldoorn.

ALLEBEI attended the fair, at ALLEBEI's own stand and BD-TOTAAL's stand.

ALLEBEI supplies our rooster and bull meat to ODIN and other organic stores.

This meat is slowly becoming established as tasty meat in various types of male animals, the rooster and the bull calf.

Male animals that also have the right to a nice life outside in the meadow.

Visitors to the fair were able to taste the beef stew of the grass-fed bulls and get an explanation of ALLEBEI men's meat.
