In March, Nature Bio Foods celebrated its 30th anniversary. The company NBF is based in India, where more than 60,000 organic farmers grow rice and other organic products on almost 100,000 acres.

NBF is an organic branch that originated from LT Foods, an Indian family business that supplies rice and rice products worldwide.

DID-IT's Poppe Braam, advisor and board member, traveled to NBF's home base in India with CEO Rohan Grover.

There, the 30th anniversary was celebrated with all divisions of Nature Bio Foods.

There was also the farewell to CEO Oberoi, who is the founder of Nature Bio Foods and is now saying goodbye at the age of 80.

After the party and farewell, Rohan and Poppe traveled to Cambodia to visit Saran Song from Amru Rice for a possible collaboration.

First, there was a visit by bike to Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, a unique ancient temple complex from the 12e century, the largest religious monument in the world. One day was set aside for this.

In addition to rice and rice products, Amru also supplies palm sugar from the Palmyra Palm, organic and sustainable. Indentations are made in the petal and the sugar juice is collected in bamboo tubes. This does not come at the expense of the fruits (coconuts).

At Amru Rice, the trees planted by Poppe Braam, Frouwkje and Saran in 2016 were inspected as part of an annual tree planting day initiated by Poppe.
